About
I am a dedicated and result-driven communications professional. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations and a minor in Advertising at Purdue University Northwest.
I strive to have sufficient communication internally and externally for businesses and believe in building a mutual understanding within an organization as it fosters collective comprehension on achieving goals. Everyone’s perspectives become unified because they are being acknowledged and valued.
Validation to my leadership capabilities, I served as CEO, leading a successful communication audit with a student run organization called Pride Connection. This experience helped shape a strategic mindset in public relations and advertising. I was part of the editing team where I gained experience in grammatical editing for a 500-page audit book for our client. I have experience being a public relations consultant for the Cedar Lake Chamber of Commerce and had press releases published in local newspapers to expand outreach.
I have proficiency in Microsoft programs to streamline processes and enhance efficiency. Proficient in AP style, journalistic and social media writing. I am a fast learner and can adapt when needed.
My most recent experience was being the communication/marketing intern for Northwest Indiana Community Action. My responsibility included the development of comprehensive PowerPoint presentations by doing research on the variety of programs offered. I was delegated to create various assignments such as flyers, press releases, emails directed towards exhibitors/vendors, internal newsletters and the design of a donor journey email strategy. For social media I successfully created several posts for the month so they can be approved and posted.
Let’s connect if you’re on the lookout for a collaborator who brings a mix of creativity, strategic thinking and individuality to the table. I’m always up for a challenge.
